RETASTE 2024 covers the following research and applied topics.

• AFR: Reducing the environmental Footprint of Agriculture
• AWR: Alternative Water Resources and Wastewater Reuse
• UFP: Urban Food Production, from green roofs to micro-greens and NBS
• HAR: Harvest and post-harvest management to reduce losses
• AEP: Alternative Energy Production and energy use optimisation at farm level
• APP: Alternative Protein Production for human consumption
• NRF: Nutrients Recovery and alternative Fertilizers
• NOV: Novel materials from food resources
• AAF: Alternative Animal Feed production
• FWU: Food Waste management in the Urban environment, from collection to on-site treatment
• COM: Compost production, quality and utilization
• ANA: Anaerobic digestion, biogas valorisation and digestate utilization|W2E: Waste to Energy (other than anaerobic digestion)
• LCA: Life Cycle Assessment and Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) of the different components of the farm-to-fork value chain

Colleagues are welcome to propose and moderate new topics at info@retaste.gr.

Abstracts must be prepared in English. Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as this can be grounds for rejection. In case of acceptance, changes in the abstract title, text or authorship won’t be allowed. Submission will be open until May 31, 2024.

Special notice: in accordance with current EU sanctions, RETASTE will not accept any payment of RETASTE 2024 registration, abstracts or any other fees from Russian or Belarusian institutions or banks. If you have any questions about this restriction, please contact info@retaste.gr.

After review by the scientific committee, the presenting author will be notified via e-mail about: (a) the acceptance or rejection of the abstract, (b) the decided session and format of the presentation (oral or poster), and (c) in case the scientific committee indicates that the work needs corrections, the authors will have a single opportunity to send a new version of the abstract according to the suggestions and corrections of the scientific committee. Acceptance notifications will be sent until June 15, 2024.
