Call for Abstracts 2023

Abstract submission

Abstracts must be prepared in English. Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as this can be grounds for rejection. In case of acceptance, changes in the abstract title, text or authorship won’t be allowed. After extending the submission deadline, submission will be open until June 19, 2023.

Special notice: in accordance with current EU sanctions, RETASTE will not accept any payment of RETASTE 2023 registration, abstracts or any other fees from Russian or Belarusian institutions or banks. If you have any questions about this restriction, please contact info@retaste.gr.

Abstract review

After review by the scientific committee, the presenting author will be notified via e-mail about: (a) the acceptance or rejection of the abstract, (b) the decided session and format of the presentation (oral or poster), and (c) in case the scientific committee indicates that the work needs corrections, the authors will have a single opportunity to send a new version of the abstract according to the suggestions and corrections of the scientific committee. Notification for those who submitted before deadline will be set until June 15, 2023, and for those submitted after deadline extension until the end of June.

Abstract requirements

Title: maximum 2 lines.
Author names: include all authors (use + sign to add fields)
Author affiliations: Department, Institute, City, Postal Code, Country
E-mail addresses: include email addresses of all authors
Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords
Abstract: Maximum 500 words
Presentation format: Oral or Poster. In case of virtual participation, oral presentations will be made in real-time, and poster presentations will be displayed in pre-recorded videos.

POSTER PRESENTATION guidelines

In the context of the virtual conference, submission accepted for poster presentation will be delivered as short video presentations. For more information please download the guidelines.  

For in-person poster presentations, authors need to bring a pre-printed A0 portrait poster. A template is offered but is not compulsory. Please consider the following:

  • Poster boards are in portrait format, and authors can make use of the full dimensions of 1978 mm height× 1183 mm width.
  • Pins are used for attaching the poster to the poster board. These are available at the poster board. In case of missing pins, please consult our staff at the facility desk in the respective poster area.
  • Conference assistants in the poster area may assist authors in putting up or taking down their posters.
  • The number of each poster abstract and of its corresponding poster board is provided in the appropriate session programme.
