Biography

Christina Chalkiadaki was born in Heraklion, Crete. She obtained a degree in Organization and Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a Marketing Certificate at the American College of Athens (Deree). She also holds a Msc in International Business and Finance (Reading University). Before working in the family business, she worked in Multinational Companies in the field of industry and research, but also in Greek companies on the field of finance and marketing. By 2002 she started her professional occupation in the family business Super Market. Today, she leads Chalkiadakis SA, a “family” of more than 1700 colleagues, alongside her father and a strong team of managers. The company holds a dominant share in the FMCG’s retail market of Crete. At the same time, she develops with her partners the family business “Gefsis Kritis Chalkiadakis – www.kritis.gr” with the purpose of operating Cretan grocery stores in Athens. She is a member of the Board of Directors of ECR Hellas and the Plastika Kritis company, a member of the advisory board of the University of Crete and the Administration department of ELMEPA, member of the General Council of SEV (Hellenic Federation of Enterprises) as well as an active member of Charitable Organizations, Women’s Associations and Mentoring Groups. She is a mother of three kids
