Manolis Kokosalis

Manolis Kokosalis was born in Heraklion, Crete 48 years ago and comes from Metaxochori. He is married to Christina Sfougaris with whom they have two children. The Environment and Infrastructure Design was the subject of his postgraduate studies and he then studied at the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the Department of Civil Engineering. As a professional he became known from his work as a supervising engineer in a Technical Company for the construction of Hydraulic Works – Road Construction, as Head of the Technical Department of the Municipal Enterprise of the Municipality of N. Kazantzakis, as an employee of the Technical Service of the Municipality of Tympaki and as a member of the Steering Committee of TEE/TAK, in the two years 2004 – 2005. He started his career in Local Government, in 2006, as a prefectural councilor of Heraklion. From 2005 to 2009, in the position of Deputy Prefect, he managed a number of county issues. In the municipal elections of 2014, he was elected Mayor of Archanes – Asterousia.
