Biography

Stavros Tzedakis currently serves as the Vice Governor for Agricultural Economy for the Region of Crete, a role he assumed in January 2024. His career in regional governance includes serving as Vice Governor for Transport, Communications, and Agri-Food from January to December 2023. His extensive involvement in the agro-nutritional sector is highlighted by his leadership as Chairman of the Agrοnutritional Cooperation of the Region of Crete from November 2019 to December 2023, following his membership in the same body starting September 2014. His public service extends back to his tenure as a Municipal Councilor for the Municipality of Mylopotamos from 2006 to 2010. Stavros studied at the School of Agricultural Technologists at the former T.E.I. of Crete, now HMU. Beyond his administrative roles, he has been active in regional committees, including the Environment & Spatial Planning Committee and the Economic Committee of the Region of Crete. His other notable positions include Vice-President of the Federation of Workers’ Unions of Agricultural Organizations of Greece “OSEGO” from 2015 to 2017 and President of the Aimonas Cultural Association from 2003 to 2007.
